PMAccelerator TM

PMAccelerator TM workshops are highly effective programs for project leaders, managers and/or intact project teams to develop a “real world” project framework to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations on any project or set of projects. Participants will leave with a clear vision and agreement on how to manage their respective project(s). It is designed for new projects or existing projects including challenged projects that need to be fixed. PMAcceleratorTM workshops create an opportunity for collaboration and buy-in for project stakeholders to work together in a dynamic and positive environment that will ensure the creation of realistic plans and achievable results.? The Workshop
The power of the workshop lies in our proven-effective and collaborative process as the team moves from clarifying scope and key deliverables to the creation of an effective WBS - the key to successful project management. We will also explore essential strategies with the team that will be applied during the project unique to the current business initiative.? We are not there to tell you what to do but rather provide the right process, tools and environment for successful project management so your team can focus on achieving results. During the PMAcceleratorTM workshop, issues and risks will surface and be identified which will lead to the development of an issues tracking & risk management plan – a vital component for maintaining control of the project. Once the WBS Structure is complete we will create the detail for a complete project schedule that can be entered into the scheduling tool of your choice, for example MS Project 2000. Once agreement on the plan is achieved, the project team will determine how communications will be handled during implementation. This includes defining project review meetings, stakeholder reporting & communication, use of project management software, email, voice mail and the use of the web.? We also know from experience that change is inevitable and therefore preparing to manage change is often the key for successful projects. To complete the PMAcceleratorTM workshop, we map out a customized change management program tailored for your specific project.

Preparing for PMAcceleratorTM
In preparation for PMAcceleratorTM, we will work with you to identify core team members that will be representative of each group/division to participate in the workshop. Workshop sizes may range from 1 to 30 participants and may constitute various stakeholders depending on the size and nature of the project. We will work with the project sponsor, project manager and/or other key personnel to help develop draft materials in advance that will serve as a starting point for each of the workshop modules.? Quite often this will involve brief interviews with key stakeholders to determine expectations, objectives/goals, draft scope statement, high level strategy & WBS and risk plan outline.? The purpose is to move forward efficiently without re-inventing work that may already be useful.? Our goal is always to make extreme progress.

Implementing PMAcceleratorTM

During the implementation of a PMAcceleratorTM our role is to facilitate the process while your role is to focus on the content. Using our proven effective methodology, you and your team can relax and focus on what is important while our team facilitates and moves through the workshop flow. During the workshop we will introduce many key PM Concepts, Strategies, Best Practices and Tools for the group to utilize for effective project management. Thus the program provides for a hands-on, experiential learning workshop that can be applied throughout the life of this project or any other project you may work on in the future. The PMAcceleratorTM workshop a very flexible program that can be easily tailored to meet the needs for individual or grouped projects, intact project teams, cross-functional projects or can be run as a generic project management experience. Typically this program takes two very focused days but can be tailored to fit into a one or three day program depending on size of the project and number of participants.
