This five-day hands-on workshop was developed specifically for people who will be involved in the implementation of Microsoft Office Project 2007 enterprise implementations. The material in this workshop addresses enterprise-wide project planning and management based on Microsoft Office Project 2007 and it supporting technologies.
Who Benefits from this Training?
This workshop addresses the needs of both the Business Analyst / Planner and the IT Professional / Administrator. Specifically:
Business Analyst / Planner — the person with the overall responsibility of implementing the Microsoft EPM solution; furthermore, they are the person responsible for working with the stakeholders to define and document the Enterprise Standards. For Business Analysts / Planners, the learning objectives are:
- Understanding the architecture of the EPM Solution, as well as how the components work together to deliver enterprise-wide project planning and management.
- Understanding how to gather and document the data necessary to establish the Enterprise Options.
IT Professional / Administrator — this person takes the information gathered by the Business Analyst / Planner and implements the Enterprise Standards. They are also responsible for defining the Enterprise Architecture. For the IT Professional / Administrator, the learning objectives are:
- Understanding the architecture of the Microsoft Office Project 2007 EPM Solution; to the point of being able to define the required Enterprise Architecture.
- Understanding how to translate the Enterprise Options into Enterprise Standards.
For both the Business Analyst / Planner and IT Professional /Administrator, the workshop has the following learning objectives:
- The role of Microsoft’s Accelerator for EPM Deployment in getting organizations prepared for the implementation of enterprise-wide project planning and management.
- The Enterprise Project Management process and environment.
- The role of the Microsoft Office Project 2007 Administrator in this environment.
- The Project Manager’s roles and responsibilities when planning and managing projects.
- The role of Users in updating project tasks.
- The system’s ability to support both project and resource management.
