Course Overview:
This workshop is a module based offering for Project
Managers / Planners who will be using Microsoft Project Professional 2007
and Project Web App (PWA) in an enterprise-wide project management
environment utilizing Microsoft Project Server 2007
. The sections of the
course are designed to follow the Project Management Institute’s standard
project management processes: Initiate; Plan; Execute\Control; and Close.
Each section has modules that cover how a project manager / planner would
utilize specific Project Professional 2007
and Project Web App functionality
to accomplish their project management goals within a Project Server 2007
environment.

Project Server 2007
running on SharePoint Server 2007
provides an enterprise
wide project lifecycle management solution. This course provides an
understanding of the role project managers and planners have within the
system and focuses on how that role could utilize each of the components.
The length of the course is determined by the modules
selected based on the Project Server 2007
system configuration and is most
often combined with modules from the course: Project 2007
, Project
Management: Real World Skills for Certification and Beyond.
